The unique ensemble work of arias and duets from the operas of Bedřich Smetana with the Czech Philharmonic under the baton of maestro Tomáš Netopil was created as a tribute to the bicentenary of the birth of the Czech musical genius. This exceptional recording brings the most important of Bedřich Smetana’s operas performed by the best contemporary performers. In addition to Pavel Černoch and the Czech Philharmonic with Tomáš Netopil, the singers Slávka Zámečníková, Mária Porubčinová and Jan Martiník participated in the Smetana Arias album.

Richard Wagner │ Parsifal
Jonas Kaufmann sings the title role in the new live recording of Wagner’s Parsifal, which was released by Sony Classical in March 2024. It is based on performance at the Vienna State Opera under the direction of Philippe Jordan, with Elīna Garanča as Kundry, Georg Zeppenfeld as Gurnemanz and Ludovic Tézier as Amfortas in other leading roles.

Jean-Philippe Rameau │ Hippolyte at Aricie
Hippolyte et Aricie draws us into a world of wonder with magnificent dance and choir scenes and an astonishing variety of musical forms. Rameau revolutionised the music of his time with radically novel, sometimes odd harmonics; extraordinarily colourful and complex orchestral movements, diverse rhythms and dramatic intensity. The artist Olafur Eliasson is responsible for the set & costume design. He deconstructs natural phenomena and reimagines them with the use of colour, light, reflections and motion. Eliasson never approaches the work of art as an autonomous entity, but instead seeks to engage in a mutual dialogue with the audience.
